Developing Your Signature Style

I’ve talked about capsule wardrobes before — and while I’m not quite using one right now I definitely have a smaller wardrobe than I’ve ever had before and have several ‘go-to’ outfits that I can always put on for meetings or dinner out and feel pulled together. I thought I’d share these two ‘uniforms’ that are perfect for this fickle transitioning weather we are experiencing on the East Coast. It’s taken me a long time to really develop my personal style and I finally think I have a grasp on it. Both of these looks just feel like “me”. I accessorized both outfits with the prettiest dainty jewelry from Berry Brand. What I love about these looks is that jewelry can totally transform them — and that’s how I’ve pretty much build my wardrobe. A mix of pieces that can be dressed up or down with the right accessories and shoes.

The prettiest metal necklace from Berry Brand’s Spring collection.

So my five go-to closet staples? A cream blazer and thin tee shirt can be layered endless different ways. The perfect ripped, skinny jeans (mine are from Zara a few years ago) and a great pair of pointy heels. I recently got these from Madewell and they are the perfect height – so easy to walk in!

An over-sized funnel neck sweater has been a newer addition to my closet (last year) but I have two and wear them non-stop – and t hey are perfect for this time of year when it’s starting to get warm and you can get away without a jacket.

I love how delicate these statement earrings are.
