I recently started using essential oils in our house — mainly I diffuse them but I made a cleaner a few weeks ago that I’ve been using non-stop. It smells like fall! Over the past few 3 years I’ve really tried to limit the amount of toxic chemicals we use to clean and have slowly overhauled our under-the-stink stash. In the past I’ve made my own counter cleaner, body wash and body butter with essential oils.. Keep in mind you have to use much caution and care when using essential oils if you’re pregnant and with children and babies.

Thieves is a very popular blend of clove, cinnamon, lemon, eucalyptus and rosemary which has great cleaning power and thought to help boost the immune system – making it a great option to diffuse and apply with a carrier oil during cold and flu season. I have been using and made my household cleaner with.

I based my recipe off of this one .

DIY Non-Toxic Household Cleaner

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup white vinegar
8 drops of Thieves essential oil
