My Postpartum Wardrobe Favorites

I’m now 8 weeks postpartum and finally starting to physically feel a little bit like my old self! I’m excited to start pilates this week (my goal is 3 days per week) and hope to fit into some of my pre-pregnancy clothes soon. Since I’m back to work now, I’ve been getting dressed much more frequently and though half of the week I’m usually in sweats of some sort I also just feel so much better when I put on real clothes. Here are some of my favorite postpartum outfits and pieces that I’ve been wearing on repeat!

Ok let’s start with my most frequent outfit: cozy sweats, tank or tee and cardigan. If you’re pregnant I highly suggest treating yourself to a few pieces like this that you can wear postpartum. These are my favorite joggers that I wore while pregnant too. I have them in gray and blush and they are incredibly soft! And this is the cardigan I’m wearing.

Here are the joggers in gray — with another cozy cardigan and my H&M nursing tank. For the record — I think I like the Target nursing tanks better!

And my last cozy look – a big knit shirt and my Aerie Sleep Leggings (I wear these non-stop and they also fit when pregnant below the bump)!

You’ll notice I don’t have any pictures with leggings — the truth is after pregnancy I’m sick of them and I also haven’t got around to purchasing a new pair (there’s just so much prettier Spring stuff I’d rather spend my money on). I have been wearing my STORQ leggings when I do need something quick to throw on with sneakers though! They fit great and are very comfortable.

Now – for postpartum you need stretchy high-rise jeans. They are a godsend and make you feel so good as you venture out into the world for the first time after giving birth. I got one size up from my pre-pregnancy size for all of these.

These Abercrombie jeans came recommended by so many of my readers and I get why. They fit like a glove and are so comfy! These are the SIMONE style. I’m wearing this bulky sweater that’s easy to nurse in when you wear a nursing tank under! And my new RM bag :)

The other pair of jeans that came highly suggested were the Levi’s Skinny Wedgie. They are a bit of a thicker material so not as stretchy and comfortable but I love them non-the less. I’m wearing the Blue Spice color. They are the perfect Spring jean for me! This sweater is also amazing to nurse in! Just wear a nursing tank or bra and pull it down. And I’ve been wearing my L.L. Bean slippers around the clock – best investment!

Yikes – my mirror really needs a cleaning! I also got these jeans on sale at A&F. They are a little tight right now, but may be my favorite pair style-wise out of the bunch. They have a high rise and wider leg and are just perfect for the upcoming spring season. I love to wear them now with an oversized sweater for nursing but in warmer weather will look so cute with a button up blouse tucked in!

And finally the most unpractical look but one that I wore out recently. I got these overalls at Gap on sale (I’m wearing a medium) and I loooove them with a feminine blouse (my exact blouse is still available in size Medium, what I’m wearing)! Not an outfit you’d nurse in but something to wear out solo!
