My Spring Beauty Routine 1

I change my beauty routine seasonally, and now that it’s warming up and the humidity of Maryland summer’s is right around the corner I’ve made the switch to lighter products. I’ve also changed my overall routine a bit the past few months — taking the time to ‘get ready’ each morning even when I’m working from home and trying to unplug by 9pm every night. A big part of my new routine is also taking my daily vitamin — VitaFusion’s Hair, Skin & Nails Multi-Vitamin Gummies. Ever since having Piper my skin and hair has been so out of whack — not only did I lose a bunch of hair around my face but overall it just feels limp, drab and hard to style. Since I started washing it less frequently, applying a mask weekly and taking my vitamin’s I’ve definitely noticed an improvement!

So today I thought I’d share my morning and evening beauty routine. Some days it’s more involved than others but this is the bare minimum I try to do daily!

Morning:

After I feed Piper, drink my coffee, have breakfast and pump I head upstairs to get ready. Austin will watch Piper during this time and it’s nice to feel like I have 10 minutes to prepare for the day. I’ve been showering at nights unless I need to do my hair for a meeting…. so I quickly wash my face with a light gel oil cleanser — (I’m finishing up this bottle ) and then apply 1-2 drops of whatever serum I’m testing and finish with French Girl Organics moisturizer. I’ll take my Vitafusion gummy (I keep them in my makeup cabinet so I don’t forget) and get dressed while my moisturizer & serum soaks in. Then I’ll spritz Pixie’s Hydrating Milky Mist if my skin feels dry before applying NYX’s BB Cream, Urban Decay’s Bare Naked Concealer and whatever bronzer I’m using at the time. I usually just brush my hair and pull it up into a pony tail, I’ve been washing & blowing it dry 2x a week.

Evening:

Most nights I take a nice long shower after Piper goes to bed and I’ve finished up my evening work, I’ll wash my face in the shower and wash my hair 2x a week, otherwise I wear a shower cap. I just started using Pixi’s Glow Peel Pads and will apply one as soon as I get out of the shower, leave it on for 2-3 minutes and then rinse my face with cold water. Then I’ll apply a few drops of either Vitner’s Daughter serum or Kate Sommerville’s Dilio Oil and skip the moisturizer since both of these products hydrate my skin enough for this time of year. Then I’ll have a cup of chamomile tea and either read in bed or catch up on Instagram & Snapchat (though I’m trying to rid of that addiction)!
