Our DIY Wooden Water Table!

Since I started sharing stories of Piper playing with her beloved water table it’s been the most asked about topic on Instagram so I decided to do a post about it. My dad built the table for Piper’s 1st birthday last year and it wasn’t really until this year that she was too interested in it — that’s not to say she didn’t play with it at all, but now it will hold her attention for a much longer time period!

My dad followed THIS tutorial that my mom found on Pinterest. I really like this table because it’s not bright colored plastic like many you see, it’s lightweight and I can easily put it under our carport when we are done with it and it perfectly holds 2 large clear bins. You can store toys in the bins and they easily clean up. You can get really creative with water tables — and put soap, paint, sand — really anything in them. I’ve seen people use them as discovery bins for younger kids.

This is such a versatile table and I know we will be using it for years to come!
