I’ve talked at length about how since I’ve become a mom I have struggled to find balance in my life between working, having a side business and this blog — leaving little to no time for myself. I know I’m not alone and so many working moms are trying to do the same thing, in fact I feel there’s really no better time to be in this position of a working mom. Lately though my workload has been increasing and it’s been catching up with me to a point where I’ve begun to do some real soul searching. I feel so grateful to be able to work doing what I love every day, I just wish there were more hours in the day and more time to spend with Piper (not to mention do a little laundry and cooking?!). But that’s another story for another day.
In the past year I’ve worked to find ways to have a little bit of time for myself — and products that can help me save time and feel pampered. I do my nails every other week at home with a glass of wine after Piper goes to bed (I’d rather indulge in a solo grocery store trip than sitting in a nail salon), read for at least 20 minutes before bed, multitask with at-home facials using luxe face products while I clean. I listen to podcasts I love every time I’m in the car driving and attempt to blow out my hair every 3-4 days so I don’t look like a total mess. And I recently started using iluminage’s Touch — the first at-home hair removal device — because let’s be honest when I have 5 minutes to shower there is definitely not time to shave.
It’s a quickly and pretty painless process — you apply the device which emits a light on your targeted area (bikini zone, underarm etc…) to disable the hair follicle so the unwanted hair doesn’t grow back. All it takes is a weekly treatment for 7 weeks! I’ve had friends who have done electrolysis and it’s so expensive so this is a great alternative, especially if you don’t have a ton of time on your hands. Be sure to head over to my Instagram where I’m giving away one of the devices!
PS- how adorable is Piper’s Minnow Swim suit? It’s my favorite one of hers and she’s been wearing it all summer!

I’m reading between the lines here and not hearing you say “I love this” or “it works great.” Your honest opinion about this product would be very helpful. It seems promising but is very expensive and early reviews are mixed.
