I took Piper strawberry picking yesterday morning with our friends Chelsea and Olivia and it was so much fun. Between that and our trip to the Organic Valley Farm on Saturday we’ve been spending so much time outside and we both love it! Days like this really make me feel fortunate to have a flexible work schedule. I work so much at night and really all week but it makes up for it that I can take a few hours during the week for outings like this. I need to remember that when I’m feeling stressed, overwhelmed and over-worked. It’s worth it for this lifestyle!
Anyway, back to strawberries. We had so much fun and picked the sweetest, juciest berries I’ve tried in a long time! Today we are going to make a few recipes with them to share here on the site.
Pro-tip from Chelsea, dress your kids in strawberry colored shirts for picking! Piper couldn’t resist eating a few berries…
If you’re local we went to Chase’s Produce in Davidsonville and they open at 10am.
Piper’s shirt is from Peek Clothing, her hat is a recent buy from Old Navy, her shorts are my favorite Cat & Jack joggers and she’s wearing her new Salt Water Sandals for this year (last year she had the baby version in white).
So fun! We just took our little guy strawberry picking the other day at Great Country Farms in Virginia! He loved it!!
