Today I’m excited to be partnering with Stein Mart to share two ways to wear plaid this fall… in addition to styling a few of fall’s hottest trends. I wasn’t familiar with Stein Mart until I went to college in North Carolina– they offer great brands at great values, like this Tory Burch purse I snagged for under $200! Plaid is a seasonal trend that never goes out of fashion — its synonymous with the word fall, like pumpkin and knit sweaters but today I’m sharing a few ways to update it this year.
Off-the-shoulder tops were a craze this summer, why not carry the trend through fall with a boho style plaid blouse. I’ve recently given up skinny jeans… I’m just tired of the silhouette… I’ve been wearing it for years so I was excited to try out these cropped wide leg jeans I found at Stein Mart.
These are also my first pair of mules – I was a little hesitant to try this trend but I have to say I’m kind of liking them. They certainly take a little getting used to and Austin thinks they look pretty crazy but that’s ok.
This plaid shirtdress is entirely too comfortable — honestly it feels like I’m wearing PJs out of the house but I’m totally OK with that. Comfort and ease are key when getting dressed these days. I’ll be wearing this dress all fall with booties, flats and boots and can easily layer a knit sweater or light jacket on top when it finally gets cooler.
I pretty much exclusively use cross-body bags these days. They just work the best with a diaper bag and stroller and an active toddler. I love this tiny Tory Burch one so much – it only fits the essentials and is light weight.
