Kitchen Reno Update #4

So excited to share some big progress with our kitchen renovation !!

What We’ve Done: 

• All appliances have been installed!! This is HUGE – we have a working dishwasher! As you know I’ve partnered with ADU Appliances & Cafe Appliances who generously gifted the appliances for our kitchen. I really had no experience with shopping for, selecting or having appliances installed so today I’m going to share a little bit more about our experience below! 
• I finally picked lighting and we installed it!!! It was a struggle finding the right color and scale for the space, but my hours of research paid off and we could not be more happy with the result! We ended up going with these brass pendants.
• Ceiling patch work is almost done!! 
• Window has been installed and trimmed out and is ready for paint! 
• Hardware has been installed (I ended up going with these handles and these knobs)
• Shiplap installed on bar

Next Up: 

• Tiling the backsplash – can’t wait for this!
• Installing brackets for the floating shelves and then tiling the wall where the window is
• Sourcing wood & installing floating shelves
• Finishing the top part of the cabinets with filler & crown molding
• Source & order bar stools

I wanted to explain a little bit about our experience with the install of the appliances with ADU!  As you know I went into the showroom to pick everything out working with their team of experts (you can read about that here). Their install crew came out to survey our kitchen before placing the order for the appliances to be sure they would fit properly which was reassuring! A few weeks later they were here to install everything! It took several hours for them to get everything in and tested and they were super professional and great to work with throughout the process! I loved that it felt personal, not like you went into the showroom, picked out your pieces and then they just showed up with a random delivery crew. Overall, we’ve been really happy with the experience and the appliances so far (the dishwasher is virtually silent and so amazing compared to our old one)!
