Best Kids Clothes Finds

I always like to get our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving but because Austin is working this year we actually got it on Wednesday before Thanksgiving :) We were the first people to pick it out at the tree stand and there were so many perfect options it was almost overwhelming! We went to a new place this year that nearly everyone I know raved about last year — Hemlock Farms. It is SO freaking cute and they even have activities for kids, gave Piper reindeer food to put in the yard on Christmas eve and have visits from Santa throughout the season.

Picking out our Christmas tree has always been one of my favorite days of the year — in fact we even got engaged after we picked out our tree 5 years ago this December! Being able to officially kick off the holiday season and share my favorite things with my daughters makes me happy in a way I never knew before.

After we get our tree we go out to eat lunch at this cozy little Irish restaurant. It’s my parents tradition that we’ve high jacked to be our own. Then we bring the tree home, I usually crack open a bottle of bubbly or make a holiday cocktail and we argue over whose turn it is to put on the lights. Now… I usually make hot or frozen hot chocolate for Piper and give her a new Christmas book while a Christmas movie plays. We slowly decorate the tree over the course of a few days since I’ve acquired sooo many ornaments over the years!
