Our Bath Time Essentials

As a blogger I have the (fortunate) opportunity to try a ton of beauty products — for both myself and Piper. Piper has really sensitive and dry skin – there are a few patches that I swear are eczema so I’m pretty particular about what I use on her. I’ve been trying to find something that works for her skin and now that it’s become cold here I know I need to give it even more attention. I finally found a few products that work well together and knock on wood, I haven’t seen any dry patches flare up since we’ve been using them.

I also wanted to share this adorable polar bear towel that was designed by Nicole Richie & Rachel Zoe for Baby2Baby – a wonderful organization that provides diapers, clothing and basic necessities to low income children ages 0-12. The towel is being sold at Old Navy and 100% of the proceeds will go to Baby2Baby. I’m sorry to bombard you with gift ideas that give back today but I love this organization and the towel is so soft and cuddly.

And here are the products we are using….

Everyone Baby Wash: We use this on Piper’s hair. I’ve found that the Aveeno hurts her eyes because it isn’t tear free and also makes her hair a little greasy. I love this and actually use it as a body wash on myself some days, it smells great, lathers nice and rinses easy.

Aveeno Baby Cleansing Therapy: By far my favorite body wash for Piper! Her skin dramatically changed once we started washing with this.

Aveeno Eczema Therapy Night Balm: As I mentioned in my 15 month update, we use this morning and night. I slather it on immediately following her bath.

Skip Hop Tear Free Waterfall Bath Rinser Cup: This whale is awesome and lets you rinse your baby’s hair without getting water in their eyes.

Numpfer Wash Cloths: They may be a splurge but I haven’t found any other wash cloths this soft and gentle. They also double as a bib.

Softsie Jammies: So these aren’t really a bath product but as soon as we lotion Piper up we put her in a Softsie PJ set – the fabric is infused with Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E and keep your baby’s skin soft all night while they sleep. They just launched separates and I’m going to get Piper a pair for Christmas. They are also SO soft!

So there you have it. That’s what’s working for us right now – thought it’s always changing, I’m happy I finally found some products that keep Piper’s skin soft and hydrated!
