Mulled wine season is my FAVORITE! I’ve been drinking this spicy, warming wine for years and love how it makes your house smell when its simmering on the stove. It’s perfect for parties or an after-dinner sip. When I was in Paris we sipped Vin Chaud in the rain and it was literally a dream – so I immediately came home and tried to recreate the sweet, full bodied spiced wine! Here’s my recipe – I hope you love it as much as I do! You can’t really mess it up!
Cozy Mulled Wine Recipe
1 bottle of red wine
1 pack of mulling spices (or you can make your own + put in a muslin bag)
1 cup apple cider (other fruit juices work here too)
3 tbs brown sugar
Orange slices + cranberries
Pour all ingredients into a sauce pan and heat until warm. It’s easiest if you find mulling spices in bags ready to use – but you can easily make your own. Serve immediately. A crockpot (set to the WARM not low setting) works well for parties!
