This weekend Grey Gardens will air on HBO (Saturday at 8pm). I first became acquainted with the Beale’s when my friend (who left me for Austin,TX) introduced me to the 1975 documentary. This spawned my great fascination with Big Edie & Little Edie. I’m very excited to see what Drew Barrymore & Jessica Lange have in store (and the costumes (in the very literal sense) they will wear).

i finally saw the documentary this weekend and was floored. great (albeit sad) and interesting in so many ways. looking forward to seeing the HBO movie when i can sneak over to someone’s place with cable.
