Decorating: A Major Office Update

 

I’m fully aware this probably the scariest photo ever posted on Style Within Reach — but before I sign off for the long weekend I wanted to share the major project I’ll be working on!! My office has been a disaster the past 6 months. Imagine trying to be productive sitting in an area like that? Honestly most days I work from our kitchen table because of this mess. I try to get organizational systems in place but with overflowing props, samples, products, craft supplies and paper it never stays tidy. Homegoods and I have partnered to create an organized, amazing space that I can actually feel good about working in! Since these photos I’ve made major progress (see below for the same space as above) but also have big plans for the weekend! 

I finally uncovered my filing cabinets and gave them a fresh coat of paint – I’m not sure why I ever thought a bright pink fabric was ok to put on top. 

 

 

I’m utilizing lots of baskets from Homegoods to organize and categorize my craft supplies — like all this fabric! 

 

I’m changing up the color palette in the room (I fell in love with this rug the moment I spotted it!) — and also devising a better way to keep my different projects and tasks organized with clipboards.
