Decorating: Coffee Table Styling Tips

Jan

You guys, today I have big news — we finally got rid of our $20 Ikea coffee table!! This has been a lonnnnnnng time coming. I was so embarrased to have photos taken of our place with the tiny, beat up thing. I’d been looking around for a while trying to decide what style I thought would look best, and since we have so many boxy rectangular pieces of furniture in the room I thought something round would balance out. These nesting tables from 55 Downing Street (Lamps Plus’ sister site) were exactly what I wanted and provide so much more surface space and really anchor the room! I’ll be sharing 3 different ways to style them over the next few months but wanted to share my neutral, glam look for winter!

I arranged books in stacks and topped each one with a tiny vignette – trinkets, plants, candles + flowers –oh and a sparkly clutch too!

Don’t be afraid to add some height — I did with my candlesticks + this taller vase.
