DIY: Kraft Paper Packages 4 Ways

I’ve been wrapping gifts with kraft paper for years. Usually I just tie a ribbon and bow and call it a day. I’ve tried several variations of paper – the actual kraft paper is difficult to wrap with and recently major retailers like Target have picked up on this wrapping trend and have made versions of regular wrapping paper to mimic the look.  This year I’m going to take it up a notch and came up with a few ideas using what stuff I had on hand.
This may look complex but it’s simply black grossgrain ribbon, with a little gold tinsel accent. I cut a piece of gold glitter paper (from Michael’s) in a pennant shape to use for a gift tag.

I love keeping fresh Eucalyptus in the house during the cooler months – so I clipped a small piece and tucked it under a twine bow. You could easily use other greenery or even fresh herbs, like Rosemary.
For this package I used a gold marker to make spots on the top of the gift wrap and added a giant gold sparkle pouf I picked up at The Container Store. I had Martha Stewart tags from a previous year that matched perfectly!
I always find myself with an abundance of glitter ball ornaments. I picked some up at Michael’s for $1 before Thanksgiving and just strung three on a piece of twine to jazz up this gift!
