Entertaining: Chocolate Guinness Float

I first shared this recipe over on Glitter Guide and it’s too good not to share here too! I made it twice before landing on the perfect recipe – which really requires more ice cream / less stout. Since I had 6 cans of Guinness on hand I also made these brownies & last night I whipped up these cookies!

We are heading down to Charleston this afternoon and I simply could not be more excited! Though it gives me anxiety to be away from my laptop working during the week, I’ll be working on two shoots (that I can’t wait to share) and am going to enjoy some time unplugged with friends.

Have a wonderful weekend! Try this float if you’re feeling adventurous and check out our styling tips on incorporating green to your St. Patrick’s Day outfit here!

Chocolate Guinness Float
-Chocolate ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet or gelato
– Vanilla ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet or gelato
– Guinness or other stout
– Heavy cream (whipped)
– Chocolate shavings

Fill each glass with a healthy scoop of chocolate ice cream and top with a smaller scoop of vanilla ice cream. Pour in about 1/4 of a can of Guinness (you want the ice cream to outweigh the beer). Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Cheers!
