Spiked Lemonade

Nothing says summer like a glass of lemonade –and why have regular lemonade when you can sip spiked lemonade? The recipe for this is kind of vague because I just had fun playing with the flavors until it tasted just right and neglected to write it all down. I prefer lemonade to be tart and sparkling versus the over sweetened varieties. The limoncello is very sweet but if you want more sugar, add a bit of lemon infused simple syrup. You could take your favorite lemonade recipe and add a shot of vodka just as easily :)

Spiked Lemonade – makes 1 glass
Juice of 3 lemons
1 oz vodka
1 oz Limoncello
1 oz lemon infused simple syrup*
Seltzer water

Juice your lemons and strain. Place juice, vodka, limoncello and simple syrup into a shaker and shake. Pour over ice and top with seltzer. Garnish with lemon slices and mint!

Lemon Infused Simple Syrup
Mix equal parts sugar and water with lemon peel over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Strain and cool. Keeps for several days in the fridge.
