How To: Decorate a Temporary Rental

Decorating a temporary space is tough. While I refuse to live in a home that isn’t decorated & doesn’t feel like mine, I don’t want to invest too much money or time on a rental I won’t be in for long. My situation is kind of unique, in that we don’t have too much furniture. Rather than pick up random pieces here and there – I’ve decided to wait on items I know will stay with me for a while. The first step in decorating a new place is deciding on a color palette.  Create an inspiration board or file on your computer with images you are drawn to, rip pages out of magazines, visit a fabric store and get swatches of your favorite colors & patterns.
