How We Are Saving Time This Fall

Thank you BJ’s Wholesale Club for sponsoring this post.

Now that I have a school-aged child there’s all new meaning to ‘back to school’ time! I love this mid-year opportunity to refresh, get organized and goal-set. If you follow me on Instagram stories you know that I LOVE a good meal plan. I’ve found the only way I can stay on track with healthy eating and our allergen-friendly diet is by planning in advance. I always start out with good intentions but lately I’ve found myself going to the store several times a week and don’t get me started on the rest of our household supplies. It seems like we ALWAYS run out of diapers and have to run up to our local drugstore at 8pm and spend way too much on a small pack to get by. Toilet paper + paper towels? Yup, always running out. With a busy fall ahead and school back in session we decided to get ORGANIZED in our kitchen and life. I’ve partnered with BJ’s Wholesale Club today to share the changes we are making to our routine!

1. BJ’s has just about everything that we could need and you can’t beat the prices — but what I love most is that it’s a one-stop-shop so it saves me time, too. I just don’t know why we didn’t join sooner, especially considering it’s only 15 minutes away.
The first big change we are making is fully stocking our basement shelves with diapers (in a variety of sizes) and wipes so we never run out again. Obviously, you’ll be saving money when you purchase in bulk but you won’t be compromising quality. BJ’s exclusive Berkley Jensen Ultra Absorbent Diapers and Berkley Jensen Baby Wipes offers the best value and assortment. As a mom blogger I’ve tried a TON of diapers and wipes and honestly can’t tell a difference between the BJ’s brand and leading national brands. And they work with Flora’s sensitive skin! Every Berkley Jensen item, including diapers and wipes, has been carefully engineered and tested to offer superior performance and reliability and are backed by a 100% money back guarantee.

2. So aside from stocking up on diapers, wipes, paper towels and toilet paper we are also getting organized in the kitchen. I’ve slowly been going through every cabinet and drawer to do an inventory of what we have, throwing out expired stuff and using glass canisters to organize all of our pantry goods. I’ve also purchased a ton of plastic baskets for our pantry shelves in an attempt to keep everything more organized in there – removing things like bars and pouches from the box so they are ready to grab & go. I plan to have a full reveal of our pantry organization project up soon. I stocked up on a ton of after-school snacks at BJ’s saving money on some of our favorite organic brands. One of the best perks of BJ’s is their mobile app, and the Shop BJs.com – Pick Up in Club option! They’re also the only membership warehouse club to accept manufacturer’s coupons.

3. I’m also trying to be more mindful with my meal planning – batch cooking on Sunday and Monday with things I can use in several meals (something I never did before). Working from home means I have the opportunity to cook lunch but often find myself snacking all day – so this school year I’ve decided I’m going to start meal-prepping my lunches for the week on Sunday. That way I can maximize my work time while Piper is in school. I’ve saved this Sesame Chicken Pasta Salad and these Turkey Taco Lunch Bowls to try this month! I love meal prep sections on Budget Bytes & Damn Delicious.

4.I just got a new planner for the school year and I’m trying to make my to-do list for the next day at night. Taking care of the easy, annoying things I keep putting off first-thing in the morning. I’m also trying to have my blog post and corresponding social media all mapped out before bed so my mornings can be spent focusing on family stuff, myself and getting Piper ready for school. I’m also getting REALISTIC about my daily task list. I think it’s important to have a big list of things you need to do but having a realistic idea of what you want to accomplish the next day is key!

With all of the time that we are (hopefully) saving by being more organized we’ll have more time to spend on our fall bucket list! If you’re not a member of BJ’s yet you can use my LINK to get a $25 gift card when you join!
Side note – these diaper boxes have given Piper hours of entertainment and playtime!
