The Coconut Tart with Chocolate Smear recipe from Mark Bittman’s Food Matters cookbook is incredibly easy to whip up, is so delicious and is perfect to serve guests. I love a simple dessert. It happens to be gluten and dairy free (though I don’t follow any restricted diet) and requires only 7 ingredients. I used sweetened coconut because it’s what I had on hand but the next time I make this tart I will use natural. I highly suggest Bittman’s cookbook if you’re at all interested in healthy, clean cooking with a lot of flavor. I have about 20 pages earmarked right now! Here is a link to the recipe online.
