A few weeks ago on a cold Saturday my sister came over for some QT. One of my favorite things on the weekend is enjoying a 3pm cup of coffee — thanks to my dad’s inclination to always brew a pot around this time. Keep reading for this delicious recipe!
Well, Emma and I decided to take it up a notch by making French Press and adding a few tablespoons of powdered hot cocoa mix to the ground coffee. We topped it with whipped coconut milk and sipped multiple cups. It’s the perfect treat for a snow day like today! Enjoy :)
French Press Mocha With Coconut Whip
Ground coffe
Boiling water
French Press
Powdered hot cocoa
Full fat coconut milk (refridgerated)
Vanilla extract
Boil water and prepare coffee — I use 1 tbs coffee grinds per cup of water. Add in 1/2 tbs of powdered hot cocoa per tbs of coffee. Pour boiling water into French Press + mix with a wooden spoon. Let brew while you make the whip! Pour chilled coconut milk into a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form (warning -this will take a few minutes!!).
