Happppy Friday!! What a rainy week it’s been. I can’t wait to soak up some sun this weekend! I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect summer to dress to use on a few upcoming trips — for a post-wedding brunch in a few weeks, for wine tasting in Napa in July and to use for my bridal shower in Illinois at the end of summer. In my opinion the perfect summer dress needs to be comfortable, cotton, feminine and not require a strapless bra. And needs to work for a variety of occasions for traveling. Well – I was pleasantly surprised to find this pale blue eyelet number at Sears that fit the bill perfectly! I keep calling it my ‘honeymoon dress’. Maybe if I wear it enough and imagine walking through the streets of Italy camera in tow my honeymoon dreams will come true?
I paired the eyelet Land’s End dress with comfy sandals and a wide brimmed straw hat I also found at Sears – the best summer essentials for travel. I can also see myself wearing this dress with layered necklaces and heels — or with a fitted blazer and pumps to a meeting this summer. I love the full skirt and thick straps! Sears has a great selection of summer dresses that work for a variety of occasions. I love to pick up a few new dresses every season that I can dress up and down and pack easily.
