Fern and Gloria, after a long afternoon of bridge playing and gin drinking.
Phoebe Harding never could pass up a chance to share the latest gossip.

Florence Vanderploeg and Otto take a drive and enjoy the early fall foliage, September of 1938.

None of the girls would dream of missing Evangeline Boatwright’s annual Holly Golightly party.

I’m pretty sure that the work of Vivienne Strauss has made the rounds in the blog-o-sphere quite a few times but I recently re-stumbled upon her work on Etsy and decided that I must add one of these paintings to my gallery wall – the hard part is picking which one! I also think they would make a fantastic holiday gift for your girl friends! PS- speaking of gifts, I’ve been working on a series of 10 gift guides (with budget in mind – of course!) which I can’t wait to begin sharing with you this week!
