Though there may still be a little bit of snow on the ground (and rumblings of that awful polar vortex phrase) I’m oficially ready to start shopping for spring and start putting away my drawers full of bulky sweaters! Today I’m excited to share a peek at GUESS’ new Originals Collection – which just may have the perfect denim staples for the warmer months to come!
When I think of ‘jeans’ one of the first brands that comes to mind is GUESS – it’s iconic and classic and a pinoeer in the denim world. For their Originals Collection, Guess decided to introduce products that represented the brand’s herritage and roots – and were inspired by vintage designs all updated with a modern twist. Below I’ve picked my favorites from the collection and shared how I would style them this spring – now bring on the warm weather!
Cut off shorts: Last year I searched high and low for the perfect cut off shorts — and Guess may have my answer. I love dressing up distressed denim – an embellished top + chic sandals do just that!
Flared jeans: I love the nostalgic feel I get when I slip on a pair of flared jeans, but they are flattering on virtually every body type and wearing them in crisp white is a fun update for spring.
Skinny jeans: Eevery gal should have a pair of perfectly fitting skinny jeans in their wardrobe, this spring have fun with peplum tops again and wear my favorite color of the moment on your feet – pale baby blue.
Overalls: If you’re leary about wearing overalls – dress them up! A slim fitting blazer, sassy heels and a little clutch make overalls an unexpected date night outfit.
Denim jacket: Denim jackets are the perfect layering piece for spring – and they also do a great job at dressing down a more formal look and making it feel less stuffy!
