My capsule wardrobe adventures continue! I have way too many shoes — tons of heels which I never wear anymore, boots that seriously needed to be pitched so I enjoyed tackling my shoe closet as part of my Fall capsule wardrobe. I’ve been searching for new tall brown boots for 2 years now — mine really need to be replaced so I knew that was something I wanted to add to my wardrobe.
After boxing up and donating a ton of shoes and allowing myself a curated selection to work with I ended up with much more space in my closet — the key was selecting versatile shoes that would last all season. When I had the opportunity to select two pairs of boots from Johnston & Murphy to test out I was really tempted by these little wedged booties and these wrap boots but I knew I needed to think practicality. These camel colored leather beauties fit the bill. The perfect height and color in a timeless style, plus quality and craftsmanship that I know will last me for years.
They are easy to throw on with a pair of skinny jeans or dress down a feminine dress. I had a few pairs of tired ankle booties from Target & Old Navy that I wore down to the bone — so I was also on the hunt for a replacement with a little height.
The Etta Booties have earned a spot amongst my favorite pairs of shoes ever — the suede looks so slick with the black stacked heel and they are just high enough, but still easy to walk long distances in comfortably. Both of these boots go with everything in my capsule wardrobe — and because I’m such a fan of the Johnston & Murphy brand I’m giving away a pair of boots to one lucky reader!
