Nipple cream, burp clothes, yet another cute(ish) onesie….instead of the predictable think outside the box and gift the new mama in your life something for HERSELF after baby is born! Here are 16 new beauty products that every new mom will love. Little luxuries she wouldn’t treat herself to during this season of life :)

Concealer:

#1 for a reason. Every new mom needs a secret little weapon in her beauty bag to help disguise those tired eyes. Here are the top picks after a lot of research:

Green Beauty: RMS Un-Cover Up is by far the best natural option if you’re looking to cover under eye circles while keeping your beauty routine chemical free for all those newborn cuddles. It’s lightweight and incredibly creamy all while offering great coverage.

Drugstore: By far the top two picks according to TMC are Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer which not only conceals those dark under eyes but helps with puffiness and comes with a sponge-top applicator and Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer (I consider this a great dupe for Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – the formula is very similar)!

All-Around: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is always a favorite and has been for years. I have several friends who swear by the trusted formula. Tarte Double Duty Shape Tape Contour Concealer  I’ve heard rave reviews about for years – for good reason, a tube is sold every 12 seconds. It’s known for being super blendable while also offering great coverage. And – a personal favorite (and also seriously loved by moms) is It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye. I’m actually currently using this though I’m not a new mom any more :) It offers amazing coverage for my dark under eye circles – and works best when I really hydrate before applying with an eye cream…..

Eye Cream:

Before you put on that concealer and even before you sleepily hop into bed — comes the eye cream, no matter how tired you may be this is a beauty product every new mom NEEDS for sure! Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Cream gently moisturizes the delicate skin under your eyes and has been a beauty industry favorite for YEARS. I personally used it all through my 20s. Laneige’s Eye Sleeping Mask has a devout group of fans who claim it really helps to combat under eye puffiness which I think most new moms can agree they have.

Eye Mask:

Grace & Stella Eye Masks: Do you sense a theme here? These under eye masks are a GAME changer! Tired moms rejoice! I use them any time I’m feeling tired after a late night but need to look presentable. I’ve tried a lot of brands but always come back to Grace & Stella and love that you can get them on Amazon. I usually pop them in the fridge for a few minutes before applying.

Hand Cream:

Never have I washed my hands more than when caring for a newborn. Coupled with having a newborn in the middle of winter my hands were so dry and cracked. I tried a bunch of hand creams and ultimately landed on a favorite: Cerave Therapeutic Hand Cream For Dry Cracked Hands. It absorbs quickly and isn’t heavily fragranced so you don’t have to worry about it irritating sensitive baby skin.

Dry Shampoo:

Cue all the new mom memes – dry shampoo will become part of your new routine, mama. I’ve tried SO many dry shampoos. I go back and forth but always always come back to Aveda’s Shampure Dry Shampoo . I love that it’s not loaded with chemicals, isn’t aerosol and the powder really absorbs grease. Plus I love the scent! A few other known favorites that I constantly see listed as favorites: Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo and Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo (which is also in my rotation).

Luxe Body Wash:

Taking a 15 minute shower is TRULY a luxury when you have a newborn. During this phase of life it’s highly unlikely you are thinking much about what’s in your shower — which is why it’s a great gift idea to give a new mom something luxe to make her shower more enjoyable. Or – stock up for yourself before you give birth. It’s really the little things…. My top pick? Fresh’s Sugar Lemon Bath & Shower Gel in the brand’s best selling citrusy sweet scent.

Lip Balm:

No one mentions just exactly how dry your lips will be while you’re brestfeeding. It’s almost as if all the moisture is sucked out of your skin including your lips. For daytime use nothing beats Lanolips and for overnight I’ve sworn by Langiene’s Lip Mask for the past 9 moths. It keeps your lips hydrated all night and I’ve seriously not had chapped lips once since I stated using it nightly.
