Piper has always suffered from bad diaper rash, it’s become more manageable with time (especially when we changed her wipes) but I’m always curious about what we could be doing differently — and what other moms do to prevent and treat diaper rash. I recently asked in The Mama Notes Private Facebook Community (are you a member?) to see what other mama’s were doing and I loved all the suggestions…..
All Natural Butt Paste -We’ve tried it, works better to prevent than treat on Piper!
Coconut Oil – I’ve heard of countless people using this for diaper rash and I’m going to try it next time we are in need!
Honest Healing Balm – We swear by this for every type of rash!
Tubby Todd All Over Ointment– I’ve heard great things about this line and have been wanting to try it!
Triple Paste – One of the most expensive options but apparently it’s worth it!
Water Wipes or WaterPura Wipes – Several women (myself included) find these chemical free wipes help prevent diaper rash.
Time without a diaper
Warm bath (with ground oatmeal, milk or cream added to the water)
Breastmilk
And here is what a few moms had to say…
“Coconut oil, diaper free time, water wipes, and an oatmeal bath were the remedy we finally figured out for us. We have also used Zoe Organics Diaper Balm since he was born and loveee it!”
“We had a diaper rash for about a month and nothing cured it until we tried this.”
“A+D and then triple paste layered, and frost it like a cupcake”
“Desitin and sometimes a warm bath with baking soda works.”
