The Best Hack For Outdoor Play

It’s not a fancy inflatable sprinkler or a bouncy house. It’s a $10 (or less) drink dispenser that has given my kids (ages 2-7) countless hours of fun outside!

I first learned about this idea from The Workspace For Children and it’s changed our outside playtime dramatically! It doesn’t seem like much (and really… it isn’t) but it’s given my children extended amounts of playtime. I rarely hear “I’m bored” when we are outside but sometimes my kids simply run out of things to do. Getting creative with a $10 drink dispenser is usually the most requested ‘toy’ during the summer. From making mud creations to using it in the sensory bin, washing doll clothes to practicing pouring – the list goes on! I usually get my drink dispensers at Target or Walmart. I just got this big one for our mud kitchen this season!
