Perched up in the hills, Artessa is one of my favorite wineries in the Napa Valley- for the view alone. My family and I usually share a bottle of wine and relax on their huge patio. {Cousins}
Cakebread provided not only amazing wines – but an intimate and educational tasting outside under a private umbrella.
An hour from the Napa Valley, Korbel is nestled amongst the Redwood trees and has an interesting free tour followed by a tasting at the end. We stopped on our way to the coast.
After discovering Swanson Vineyard last year on Mrs.Lilien’s blog I knew I had to make a visit to their Sip Shoppe – expect another post on this delightful hidden gem!
Within walking distance from my grandmothers on the top of a hill lies Flora Springs – my family was treated to an amazing 3 hour tasting which I will be posting on shortly (I also joined their wine club!).
We had fun chatting with the gentleman who did our tasting at Alpha Omega and were so surprised this beautiful vineyard right off Highway 29 wasn’t more busy.
While on my trip, I clearly enjoyed some wine (and not all in one day)! My cousin celebrated her 21st birthday earlier this year so my sister & I took her on an afternoon of tastings, with my lovely boyfriend acting as our DD (thank you!!). Since Amanda is from Napa, practically all of our tastings were complimentary – which allowed me to feel zero guilt when purchasing several bottles to enjoy in the months to come, a small reminder of our trip.
