Back To School Traditions To Start With Your Kids This Year!

Family traditions may be my favorite. Every chance I get I try to come up with something unique and memorable for the girls and the start of the school year is such a transitional period filled with excitement and nerves, it’s only suiting to do something special for your kids :)  I asked around and did some brainstorming of my own and here are a few of my favorite back to school traditions! Here is what I’m planning to start with Piper: A fun and healthy breakfast on these cute school plates and then I’m going to make an after school snack cake to eat at home after I pick her up (I’m thinking chocolate zucchini cake, Pumpkin or Applesauce).

Mandy of Momma Society is starting a tradition this year of giving her kids a back -to -school -eve  gift of new undies, socks and a backpack!

Having pizza after the first school day at the same spot every year (take a picture and watch them grow)!

Ice cream after the first day is another tradition a lot of families do.

Sara Mueller makes these pretty little homemade graham crackers

Starting the day off with a special homemade breakfast — or making it the night before and having breakfast for dinner is also a great idea, considering the first day of school may be a hectic morning!

Love Jessica Garvin’s chalkboard sign!

Stick a special (healthy) treat with a love note in their lunchbox.

Love the idea of a 1st day of school interview that you do every year!

Cristina is starting to buy backpacks and supplies for kids in need this school year.

One reader takes her daughters for mani + pedis just the girls :)
