Balance & Beauty GIVEAWAY!

I’m excited to have teamed up with my friends at Westfield Annapolis again to help promote their Beauty & Balance event which is going on now! It’s funny because since becoming a mom I’ve found myself spending more time on my beauty routines than ever before….which is kind of ironic. You see, when I look better I feel better — and since becoming a mom I’m more tired, frazzled, stressed and anxious. I find if I can at least make myself appear to be put together, it will help me feel that way too :)  On days I’m at home with the girls and look at the clock at 5pm and notice that I haven’t brushed my teeth or hair I just feel depressed….whereas if I spend 10 minutes getting myself ready I feel great starting off the day. Westfield Annapolis has everything you need when it comes to beauty….my favorite places to shop for beauty are Sephora (obviously), Nordstrom, Lush and I recently discovered Piana has a lot of great smaller brands like Rodin and Christophe Robin haircare.

I’ve also been trying to find BALANCE – I struggle with this but I’ve started walking again in our neighborhood and doing pilates a few nights a week. I’ve also been trying to read before bed again with a hot cup of tea every night — to wind down and relax.  And I’ve waxed poetic about my nightly shower/skincare/self-care time that I spend 20-30 minutes on after Piper goes to bed! I recently started getting my nails done again which has been a nice treat once a month and trying to blow out my hair once or twice a week so it’s easier to style.

Diptyque Baies Candle – Probably the most instagrammed candle of all time and for good reason, it smells sooooo good! When I worked in fashion in NYC years ago we always had this burning in the office. Nordstrom has a huge selection of designer candles now.

Fresh Rose Face Mask – One of the brand’s most loved products, the perfect mask for a Sunday night soak in the tub. Fresh is sold at both Sephora and Nordstrom at Westfield Annapolis.

Georgio Armani Fluid Sheer- The ultimate highlighter, in a universally flattering shade that will work well on all skin tones!

Rodin Lip Balm – Cult favorite with the prettiest packaging! It has a subtle shimmer.

Fresh 1000 Milihellens Mask- I spent a while in Fresh trying to pick out a mask and ended up going with this jelly one that apparently leaves your skin glowing!

Mac Tendertalk Lip Balm- This new pink lip balm adjusts to the shade of your lips for the perfect pink hue!

Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleep Mask – This has been high on my beauty wish list and gets rave reviews – it smells incredible and you can’t beat the pretty pink packaging.

Bright Eyes Illuminating Silver + Collagen Eye Patches + Sleep Mask-  Be still my heart — eye masks are my favorite beauty splurge and these will leave you looking awake and refreshed!

Ouai Wave Spray-  This spray gives you the perfect beach waves — not to crunchy and stiff but enough to hold a nice wave and add texture to straight hair!
