I turn 30 later this year (yikes) and it seems I’ve finally found a skincare routine that works – for now at least. I wouldn’t say I have terrible skin but it’s not great. I thought I’d stop having breakouts after college, maybe? Nope! I like to switch my routine up every few months, and especially with the change of seasons like we are experiencing now. So today I thought I’d share my what’s in my cabinet this summer.
1. One Love Organics Easy Does It Facewash: I credit this bottle with changing my skin. I’m slowly trying to change over to using natural beauty products (but let’s face it my entire medicine cabinet needs to be switched) so it’s a slow process but after seeing the results of this baby I’m motivated. My skin has never felt so soft and my breakouts are few and far between.
2. Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray: This is great refresher and feels so good in the warmer months -plus I love just about anything rose scented.
3. Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream : Contradicting myself with this not all-natural product but it’s the first gel moisturizer I’ve tried and it works great on my skin. It leaves it feeling refreshed and plump, not greasy or sticky. I use it in the mornings after a spritz of rosewater spray.
4. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair: I think this miracle product is the other reason for the difference in my skin. I started using it around the same time as my One Love Organics so I can’t be sure. I’ve heard so many amazing reviews about it — and I think they are on spot. I haven’t noticed a huge improvement in my fine lines, but didn’t really expect that. I wake up with my skin feeling so taught, smooth and refreshed. I had 2 samples and am about to purchase a full size serum.
5. Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer: I use this at nights when my skin is feeling extra dry or after time in the sun. I seldom have to use it in the summer, but when I need some moisture this is what I use.
6. M-61 Power Pro Peel: I received a sample of this product at an event and was so impressed with this easy at-home peel that I went out and bought a box. I try to remember to do a peel once a month — or before a photo shoot or special event. It really leaves your skin glowing and helps with any break outs or flare ups.
So, what is your summer skin routine and what products should I try???
