Today a labor of love is up on Glitter Guide. The past few weeks I’ve been working on a Thanksgiving tablescape in collaboration with Horchow and thought I’d share a few images and DIY projects I did to get this look. Please check out the full feature here.
This “table cloth” ? A giant piece of painter’s paper was taped to our dining table and covered with a piece of lace. Cost about $15 total!
Paper Source has great options for menus and place cards and the talented Laura Hooper hand wrote all of the details for us. I think calligraphy makes or breaks a tablescape. Creating a spot for guests to share their thanks is a cute idea for your holiday table.
Each place setting got a mini succulent from Hope Depot + I spray painted the pots gold.
Picked up these mini cutting boards at Ikea (can’t wait to use them all season long) for $5 each. Perfect little place for a chunk of cheese or dip.
I never put down my can of gold spray paint — and used it on this ceramic turkey I found at Goodwill as well as on mini pumpkins that were scattered around the table. Laura shared her skills again by hand lettering words of thanks on pumpkins, but you could easily do this with a paint pen yourself too.
A signature cocktail is always an easy way to keep your guests happy + writing out the list of ingredients on a framed board adds a cute touch to your bar cart.
Pick up Eucaplytus at Whole Foods (they always have it at ours) and tie it together using floral wire to create a garland. Place it on your bar area or table! Don’t forget favors — we used mini bottles of bubbly with a set of note cards attached.
Simple kraft take out boxes (purchased at Michael’s) are transformed into a cute leftovers container with a pretty bow + sticker.
