Last week I met some of my girlfriends downtown for end of the week drinks — a needed activity that seems to be happening more often, which I love. I’ve been testing out Maybelline’s new Color Elixir lip glosses thanks to Refinery29 and used this opportunity to swipe on the perfect shade of red for an evening out. Finding a color that’s not too over the top for a casual setting can be tough, but this smooth gloss fits the bill perfectly – and it’s a Drugstore Beauty Buy which obviously makes me happy!

My friend Chelsea snapped these photos – she just graduated from photography school and is still getting her website finished, but didn’t these photos turn out great? I’m excited to shoot with her on a more regular basis.
