Ice Cream Shop Sensory Play

Jun

My girls had soooo much fun with this sensory ice cream shop play! It was really easy to set up – and while I went a little overboard with the apron and everything you could simplify this and do it in a sensory bin!

All you need for this activity is pom poms, an ice cream scoop and sequins for sprinkles! I find that the larger pom poms are great fine motor practice for little ones around Flora’s age (18 months) and the smaller pom poms are more of a challenge for older kids (age 2-4).

You can get creative with the ice cream shop and make it an educational experience too – by practicing counting and color recognition.
