Now that I’ve slowly started working again I’ve been learning how to balance my time–I no longer have hours to spend perfecting my Instagram photos and drool over Pinterest images. I try to squeeze in trips to the grocery store and errands for myself while Austin is home between feedings – I only have 2 hour chunks of time right now since we haven’t introduced a bottle yet! It’s certainly going to take a while to figure it all out, that’s for sure! I’ve discovered that grab & go treats are essential, as is making time in the day to get out of the house and take Piper to the park or for a long walk. I’ve become hooked on Dunkin’ Donuts’ iced teas which come in a ton of flavors and are a better-for-you and refreshing pick-me-up when I have a moment for myself or to grab on our way to the park.
The freshly brewed Unsweetened Iced Tea is my go-to since it’s low calorie (15 calories per 16oz serving) and I add a few lemon slices and mint for an afternoon treat while I’m working. We’ve been taking trips to Quiet Waters Park which is really close to our house and going on long walks with Piper and sitting by the water, I’m looking forward to fall weather when it won’t be so hot! We love our Nuna stroller — we also have the Stokke but this one is great for quick trips since it collapses with one hand and I can manage it easily myself.
