Wow, what a week! I’m so excited the weekend is upon us and am looking forward to my annual girls holiday party tonight followed by a weekend of holiday shopping and wrapping! There’s nothing I love more than coming up with festive cocktails for my favorite time of year — so when I had the opportunity to create one in collaboration with Absolute’s new limited edition Andy Warhol bottle I was pretty excited.
This bottle is such a fun piece of art and would make a great hostess gift or the perfect addition to a holiday party (perhaps bring along a bottle of homemade cranberry syrup to serve with it?).
Fresh Cranberry Spritz
1 part cranberry syrup
1 part Absolute vodka
1 part soda water
1 tsp rosemary simple syrup
Frozen cranberries & rosemary to garnish
In a shaker combine cranberry syrup, rosemary simple syrup and vodka. Shake with ice and pour into a coupe glass. Top with soda water and garnish!
Cranberry Syrup
1 cup of fresh cranberries (or frozen)
3/4 cup water or fruit juice (apple works well)
1/2 cup sugar
Combine and simmer over low heat until the cranberries begin to pop (just like cranberry sauce). Add more water if you find it to be too thick. Strain through a fine sieve and be sure to press all of the liquid out. Store in fridge for up to a week.
Rosemary Simple Syrup
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
3 rosemary sprigs
Simmer over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Let sit for 5-10 minutes then remove rosemary sprigs and strain. Store in fridge for up to a week.
