Treasure Hunt Snack!

One of Piper’s most beloved after school activities is a ‘treasure hunt snack’. Growing up I have the best memories of my mom doing the same for us, and I always feel guilty for not doing them more when I see how much joy it brings to Piper! The concept is really simple, I write notes with clues and leave them throughout the house. Sometimes I’ll draw pictures instead of writing a clue because Piper can’t read yet – but either way I like to make it a little challenging and fun! At the end there is always a yummy snack — and earlier this week I made her the easiest little spider treats using newFarm Rich Time Outs™ Mozzarella Bites. She LOVED them! I also put little spiders out around the clues to make it feel more festive for Halloween! The entire thing took me maybe 10 minutes total to put together, so easy for after school!

The Farm Rich Time Outs™ line was made for busy days — and I love that you just heat up the wholesome snacks in the microwave for less than a minute! I grabbed a few boxes to keep on hand in the freezer, for the busy fall days ahead. There are four different flavor options: Fiesta Chicken Roll Ups + Mild Poblano Ranch Sauce, Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups + Marinara Sauce, Boneless Chicken Bites + Sweet BBQ Sauce, and Mozzarella Bites + Marinara Sauce  — all sound kid-friendly and delicious! These are protein packed and would be great to serve before a night of trick or treating for your little goblins.

To make the spiders I simply broke up pretzel sticks and stuck them in. It could not have been easier! The Farm Rich Time Outs™  snacks are packaged in a little box that you heat up in the microwave and all come with a custom sauce cup for easy dipping! They are available at select Walmart and Publix stores in the freezer aisle for around $3.49 – $4.49.

Just a reminder that you don’t have to spend a ton of time, energy or money to come up with really fun activities that your toddlers will remember for ever! I look forward to giving this  a festive twist for Christmas, too!
