Valentine’s Day Fairy Bread

Feb

We shared our Christmas Morning Fairy Bread a few years ago and I got the idea to make heart shaped bread for Valentine’s Day last week. This ‘recipe’ couldn’t be easier and Piper acts like it’s seriously the BEST treat. I think it’s the sprinkles :) Fairy bread is popular in Australia, the name confuses Piper and for some reason she’s been calling it “Angel Bread” and I can’t bring myself to correct her.

To make fairy bread, simply cut out sandwich bread with a heart shaped cookie cutter (I lightly using a rolling pin to flatten mine a little, but you can skip this step). Then spread on a layer of butter (I let it sit out a few minutes so it doesn’t crumble the bread) and top with sprinkles! It’s an interesting salty/sweet combo but kids seem to love it!
