Wedding Wednesday: Affordable Welcome Bags

02

Jul

I have most of the major details of our wedding figured out and have started thinking about our welcome bags. I don’t want to spend a ton but still want something cute for our guests. I put together this simple idea to serve as inspiration for other brides-to-be out there who may be looking to save costs on this. I think these 4 components are all you need and you can get as fancy or go as basic as you’d like!

The four elements I plan to include in our bags:

1. Something sweet: Here I used grocery store chocolate bars and removed the wrapper. You could place a paper sleeve with your logo or pretty ribbon (I used a scrap of lace).

2. Something salty: This can be a homemade or store bought treat– simple popcorn infused with rosemary in a clear bag with a thank you sticker is adorable and cheap!

3. Waters: Use plastic bottles + remove the wrapper, or add your names (there are plenty of templates online). A ribbon, twine or cute straw adds a personal touch. I think we are going to have sparkling water in our bags — and if you opt for a pretty bottle you don’t need to do much.

4. Map // Activities: A map of key locations for your wedding is nice, or a list of your favorite spots near by for guests to check out keeps the bags personal.
