Kitchen Renovation Update #3

PROGRESS!!! Today was a BIG day for the kitchen renovation – our cabinet install is complete!!

What We’ve Done:

• Floors are just about DONE! We spent Thursday-Sunday tiling our floors and I LOVE HOW THEY TURNED OUT! Sadly I can’t find our exact tile online as I think it’s no longer made. We still need to fix the grout in some places and seal it.
• Drywall patching is ALMOST DONE.
• Cabinet install began yesterday We are using Ikea’s contractor’s. As expected we have run into a few issues with missing boxes and Austin was able to pick up the missing boxes last night after work (thank goodness Ikea now does buy online & pick up in-store)!
• Later this week ADU will be coming out to make sure the gas line will fit properly for the range (fingers crossed we don’t have to move the gas line as this would be a huge upsetting set-back!!!)

Immediate Next Steps:

• This weekend we will be working on the venting for the exhaust hood so it’s all ready when ADU comes to install it!
• We will be fixing the floor grout and possibly addressing all of the ceiling drywall that needs to be majorly repaired.
