Imaginative Play: Restaurant Date Night

13

Feb

It’s been a while since I shared a pretend play prompt for my girls (see our hot cocoa and ice cream shop here) and with Valentine’s Day around the corner I gave them a box to set up a romantic restaurant date. They LOVED this!

Basically all I did for this was use an empty pasta box and sauce jar and fill it with yarn! I put it in a box with a little piece of fabric to use for a table cloth, plates, a vase, fake flowers and a clipboard for taking orders! When given a prompt to play like this my girls will spend much more time using their play kitchen and did this for a solid 30 minutes and have asked for it multiple times since! I love to see how creative they get, taking turns to be the chef and waitress!
